Everywhere you go today you hear people talk about how bad the economy is and how it has literally affected millions of people. Everyone is looking for a bargain price and only buying when absolutely necessary. Researching products has become very popular because people are looking for the retailer, whether on-line or at the store, that provides the best price for the product they are looking to buy.
Being in the wholesale dropshipping business allows the business owner the flexibility to increase sales and profits by changing prices whenever possible to help move the products at a better price, which is what the consumer marketplace is demanding today. The question is, what and how can a wholesale supplier make the product more saleable to the consumer and at the same time still make a profit?
First off, the wholesale supplier needs to determine the lowest possible price possible for the product. Second, since the wholesale supplier is advertising products for sale on the Internet, the supplier needs to figure out how to drive traffic to the site to increase the sales.
The site design is very important because if it is difficult to manage or slow to load, you lose consumers immediately. Not only does the site need to be appealing to the consumer, but the content and/or images need to be accurate and contain all the necessary details for the capture the consumers interest enough to click and buy.
Once the wholesale supplier has captured the consumers attention and offered the products at the best possible, lowest price, the follow through is just as critical as the actual sale. Customer service in today's economic recession is just as important as the price. Providing good customer service and follow through equates to return customers and increased profits. Word of mouth advertising by happy customers is one of the best ways to get repeat and new business. Wholesale suppliers should be friendly and back their products to complete customer satisfaction. Providing discounts for wholesale lots or larger purchases is another way a wholesale supplier can drive sales and increase profits, especially to regular, repeat customers.
Competition is abound in the market today and a good wholesale supplier needs to go that extra step to not only drive the customers to their site, but to keep them coming back. Following these steps will help the wholesale supplier continue making profits and be successful for years to come.
