Dropship Manufacturers - Are They the Key to a Wholesale Dropship Business?

By John Freech

Are you looking into starting your own wholesale dropship business but are weary of the initial cash injection to buy inventory? Well do not be. With dropship manufacturers you can easily source designer products at heavily reduced prices and best of all, you do not ned to hand over money until your customer pays you.

Locating dropship manufacturers has become an easy task in this day and age. However, finding a reliable drop ship manufacturer is a different story. Inevitably, tracing brand name items at low cost is an art of dealing closely with the dropship manufacturer. A wholesale dropship business in this day and age requires little time investment once you find the supplier and the product you wish to sell.

Having reliable dropship manufacturers alleviates any stress that your product will not reach the customer. Once you have established your wholesale dropship business start negotiating with the dropshipping company on prices. You will be surprised how easily you can get better prices just by meeting certain targets each month.

There is no better time to start a drop ship business and look for dropship manufacturers. With the recession gradually fading out and more jobs becoming available in the future, you will be nicely placed to dominate the niche you choose to get involved in.

Dropship manufacturers are the key in succeeding and making money online. Everyday people come to the internet to find a new way of making money or getting out of a dead end job and dropshipping is by far the most popular. It is not by accident that this is the most popular, drop shipping is making people full time incomes from their homes and it could help you succeed also.

If you are familiar with this business model, you are aware that finding dropship manufacturers is paramount to take your wholesale dropship business to a totally new level. The best thing about this type of business is that you can start selling on eBay, the largest online auction marketplace, without having a website. You also do not even need to store inventory. The dropship manufacturers do this on your behalf. There are 100s of products online that you could look at selling in your drop ship business.

A website is not necessary to get starting to become an online dropshipper. However, if you are selling consistently you should start to think about building a website and bring your eBay dropship business to a new level. Do not leave all those customers untapped.

My advice is to start one niche dropship business and if that is successful diverge into other niches. Then look for other dropship manufacturers. Increase your portfolio of niches and believe me you will be successful selling online.

Everything About The Wholesale DropShipping Business

By John Freech

Finding a profitable wholesale dropshipping business on the Internet has its pros and cons. You either make initial business with a middleman source or you make a fantastic overhead sale from a customer, to a drop-shipper who is indeed legit. Focusing right now on the pros!

In a nutshell, with a drop-shipper you can market your item at the price range you desire your customers to buy from you. Once a customer buys from you and has fully paid for your auction or online store, you then send the receipt and payment information to the drops-shipper who is conducting business with both you and your customer. You receive the net profits from the price gap established for your items by you, and the customer never knows that you were not the primary owner of such item since its being shipped from a different warehouse.

You do not carry any inventory. Everything that you sell online when it comes from a wholesale dropshipping business- is sent from their side. Greatest part of this wholesale industry is that you do not have to package or ship the items yourself.

A fulfillment company takes care of this for you. Once you have the system set, you can move on to more sub-niche investments with a wider range of product lines for your website or eBay store in the same niche.

The dropshipping business is very profitable when you have specialized yourself in a tight niche. That is why finding a wholesale dropshipping company is vital for your start-up needs. Before you focus on what to sell, here are some quick pointers to let go by:

You need to know what are profitable niches to indulge yourself in research time. An easy way to perform some manual research is by going to our famous eBay or Google engine and hit a search on one item in particular that you have an interest in and that you know that it will sell. If it does not return hundreds of auctions or millions of results with plenty sponsor advertisers in Google, I am more than sure that you have a dead frog!

When you start wholesaling, make sure to sell in a specific niche or sub-niche market. It is imperative to understand that selling Disney Mickey Mouse DVDs and the latest Ron Jeremy porno movie will be in the DVD business, but its more than 99.9% likely the audiences will not be the same. Choosing a Niche Product to Dropship

By John Freech

Time and time again I recommend that you choose a niche product to dropship from your website or sell on eBay. But how do you choose your niche? The following are brainstorming tips to help you come up with a niche product that can be sold online.

First: Check Your Purchases. Many prospective online entrepreneurs try to think of really out-there products like unicycles or bamboo knitting needles so they can enter a market that isn't too saturated. This is a good idea in some respects, but one of the most important factors when choosing a product is to choose something that people actually buy online. One way to brainstorm this type of product is to think what you yourself buy online.

In the past month, I've bought three second-hand novels written by Mildred Walker, a pair of studded motorcycle boots, a Hebrew-printed t-shirt, tickets to a murder mystery play, a pair of Cubs swim trunks, and a calligraphy set. Not surprisingly, almost all of my purchases represent niche markets. Why is that? Because with the exception of a few broad categories like electronics, most items bought online are niche products. This is because common, general products can easily be purchased at physical locations close to your home. You go online to find unusual items that can't be bought at the mall.

Second: Check Logistics. Let's assume that I want to dropship my products, not purchase them wholesale. This means that some of the products I purchased last month are out of the running for my niche inspiration. Used books aren't generally dropshipped, and neither are theater tickets. Shoes and clothing are usually sold wholesale, but in this case the items that I bought might still be appropriate since they weren't common apparel and accessories. The studded motorcycle boots might be a good candidate for a dropship niche product for a few reasons: first, they are a product that's not easily found in local stores. I bought those boots online because after searching the three malls in my area I couldn't find anything quirky enough to satisfy my Sarah Connor Chronicles obsession.

The studded motorcycle boots are a good pick for another reason: they're a theme product that I could easily build a whole product line around. With the boots as my central product, I could have a goth/punk/emo website, a motorcycle apparel site, or a studded leather accessories site. Finally, while I might not be able to find this product through a dropship supplier, they are expensive enough that I could possibly use a wholesaler to dropship them. Let's say my wholesale supplier has a $100 order minimum: if a single pair of studded boots costs $125, I can likely have single pairs shipped directly to my customers even though the supplier is ostensibly a wholesaler.

Stay tune for more tips on choosing a niche to dropship products.

Make Money on eBay

 By John Freech

If you are a new seller and you want to make money on eBay you have probably run into discussions and recommendations to consider dropshipping. There are some realities about dropshipping that need to be considered before you move forward to investigate this product supplier option. It is time to face the reality of the situation and then make an informed decision.

Dropshipping is simply a means of selling merchandise. The selling process becomes that a seller lists a product that a dropshipping company has in-stock for a price that is higher than will be paid to purchase the product after it is sold. Once a sale is made the seller simply pays the appropriate amount for the item (Don't forget to include appropriate shipping charges in your pricing!) to the dropshipping company. That dropshipping company will then ship the item directly to your buyer for you.

As a seller who wants to make money on eBay you have no upfront costs for inventory procurement, storage, pulling, packing and shipping. The dropshipping company does all of this for you. This is a means to enter the marketplace for much less money.

However there are also some downsides to using dropshipping companies. Probably the biggest challenge is finding a dropshipper who can provide the right products and the accompanying services at a price that will allow you to make money on eBay. Since eBay is so competitive from a pricing perspective this can be show stopper. However there will be some products that do work if a seller is willing to invest the time to research and find those products. (In all cases we have found that margins are tighter using dropshipping companies versus buying in quantity from wholesalers. However, there is cost savings in labor and no upfront inventory investment is required!)

Bigger issues arise when dropshipping companies show items as being available in their inventory and then send a 'back order' notice to you and your buyer once a sale is made. Buyers want their products once they buy and pay for them. This can absolutely ruin customer retention when it happens which doesn't help you to make money on eBay for the long term.

Finally be sure that you clearly understand the dropshipping company's policies regarding lost and damaged merchandise. Who is responsible? How are these problems handled? Will you and your buyers get the right treatment if there are problems? The answer must be yes if you are to make money on eBay.

Research dropshipping companies carefully if you decide to use this means of obtaining products for eBay sales. It can work for you if you are careful. However understand the services that are being provided and the costs involved. Be sure that a dropshipping company fits into your long term goal to make money on eBay before you move ahead.

3 Priorities for Effective Drop shipping

3 Priorities for effective  Drop shipping

                                             By John Freech

Enabling providers to send merchandise straightforwardly to a retailer's client, which is called drop shipping, can be an appealing choice to grow the determination of products accessible for buy on a retailer's site. At the point when utilized legitimately, a drop-shipping procedure can diminish deals and satisfaction costs and even enhance benefit levels inside the production network. Be that as it may, if the principles for participation amongst retailer and vender are not clear, shipping misfortune can influence benefit and imperil the client's general understanding and unwaveringness.

                                                 SOURCE:GOOGLE

Here are three needs every vendor must consider while considering Drop Dispatching as a component of their plan of action.

PRIORITY ONE:

PRIORITY TWO:

PRIORITY THREE:

PRIORITY ONE:

Comprehend when drop shipping bodes well - and when not. One of the advantages of a drop shipping methodology is to empower a more extensive scope of products without bringing about the related expenses and dangers. What's more, a drop transport concurrence with a seller can enhance client benefit levels. For instance, the vender might have the capacity to satisfy an overabundance of conveyance in the interest of the retailer as opposed to waiting for the retailer's system to be re-conveyed. At last, the choice to execute a drop-shipping program is credited to the examination and ramifications of the correlation costs and the administration of a drop-shipping stock model contrasted with the related edge and stock dangers.

Drop Transportation is frequently a characteristic answer for extensive or overwhelming things that are typically conveyed alone. Transporting and dealing with are generally clear and it is frequently intelligent to isolate this specific request thing from other, littler things acquired by the client. Nonetheless, drop delivery can likewise be utilized productively for some different kinds of items.

To display whether drop shipping is the correct alternative for a specific SKU or classification requires a careful investigation contrasting costs, benefit, and different factors amongst inward and merchant satisfaction. Truth be told, the thoroughness of this investigation is the place numerous brokers miss the mark.

Cost correlations incorporate evident elements, for example, the cost of holding and transporting stock in the home versus the aggregate cost of delivery from the provider. Not all that conspicuous variables are cost of request line split, SKU affinities, local SKU and administration level profiles. Most importantly, recall that the client will in any case pay the same focused value paying little mind to the satisfaction source.

Legitimately sent, Drop Transportation can be a to a great degree effective device: Having a client with a vast letter box has huge advantages from expanding its drop shipment impression, which enhances both edge and administration for clients.

Notwithstanding unadulterated cost and edge investigation, it is additionally vital to incorporate advancements in the drop-transport condition. A mass broker, who delivered around 40% of his collection from various sellers, was at that point pushed by gossamer edges. Clients just paid one delivery expense for every request, except the vendor really paid a few separate transportation costs for each request from various sources. Including a free dispatching activity notwithstanding pulverizing what was left and making an exceptionally red outcome on the paper toward the finish of the activity.

PRIORITY TWO:

Build up a thorough deals preparing and administration process as retailers assemble a broad online product offering; It isn't surprising that they have a huge number of suppliers. Some may never be appropriate for drop shipping while others may fit well. To secure the client encounter, it is important that a trader actualizes a merchant accreditation and organization program. Provider accreditation and administration does not really mean consistence with the producer's necessities. Or maybe, seller consistence ought to evaluate a merchant's capacity to help a retailer's drop-send show and convey unrivaled client benefit.

While evaluating a seller's capacity to be a drop deliver accomplice, it is critical to comprehend its abilities, including the capacity to incorporate innovation, the development of its business, and adaptability in its inventory network system and limit. Driving retailers regularly amass their suppliers as indicated by their aptitudes, benefit level offerings and theirs vendors

and Level D suppliers are either new or have a history of underperformance. Small volume shipping from these vendors is acceptable, while large volumes may require in-house execution.

Depending on the capabilities of a supplier, some traders may feel comfortable keeping a small supply of the shipping product in-house to minimize the risk. The certification of the suppliers authorized to deliver the ship is only the first step. maintaining and managing the vendor program is equally important. The keys to success are careful documentation of expectations, regular communication and the creation of easy-to-understand metrics and feedback loops.

The most successful vendor management documentation is long enough to clearly define expectations, but short enough for a vendor to be a profitable partner without a PhD. to understand the requirements. This document must contain the payment terms and invoicing; legal requirements; Labeling and labeling requirements for packaging and goods; Minimum system configuration; a command and ASN requirements and exceptions; The processes of test management and exceptions; Shipping and routing and compliance management and escalation.

However, clear and detailed documentation is not enough to manage a vendor program. The way a trader builds his relationship with the seller will also greatly affect the results. Some retailers choose to be a "coach" to reward positive behavior and share the same customer experience. Others choose to be a "hammer" applying rules and penalties for non-compliance. Often, the coach's approach leads to more success, but from time to time the coach must be a hammer.

PRIORITY THREE

: Close the loop for customer service. The ultimate risk of shipping is that a supplier is unable to provide a quality service and customer service that meets a merchant's standards and makes the brand vulnerable.

To combat a bad customer experience, leading online retailers are eager to control as much as possible the most visible process for the customer. For example, the retailer will control the timing, frequency, and messaging of all customer communications; require the use of a specific packaging from a supplier; and most importantly, in the levels of service promised to the customer.

Delivery speed is mandatory. It may be difficult for some providers to meet certain levels of service with their own supply chain network, particularly because their sales infrastructure is often put in place to support a wholesale activity. However, many large suppliers are investing heavily in distribution center technology to support their business, and service risks may decrease.

Regardless of what a service provider promises in terms of service level, it is of course important to ensure that this is really contrary to this promise. To achieve this, many marketers create feedback loops with their suppliers to create a commitment and meet all service expectations. To this end, a service dashboard and review process will be developed, including customer surveys and post-shipment surveys.

Retailers should test suppliers by ordering products that are delivered to their homes. These random checks can help shed light on service issues from the point of view of the retailer's most selective customers - his own employees. Ultimately, ongoing feedback and guidance from suppliers will ensure that the coveted customer experience of a retailer is not sacrificed.

CONCLUSION

As retailers expand their product mix, improve service and reduce costs, the parcel shipping trend continues to grow. By understanding whether drop shipping makes sense and advising suppliers on excellent service, retailers can ensure that their drop shipping strategy is paying off.

  Stage 5: Promoting

The Web has changed everything from music to perusing news. Most importantly, the Web has changed the purchasing background. With dropshipping and wholesalers like Distribution center 115, private companies would now be able to build their capacity and deals control. With just a couple of snaps, even the most unassuming can contend with worldwide shippers in the internet - and succeed!

What is Dropshipping? Shopify characterizes dropshipping as "a retail execution technique where a store does not store the items sold." And here's the way it works: A merchant works with a provider - in a perfect world with a vast circulation focus with numerous items. The shipper promotes this item on the web, where your normal purchaser can make buys. At the point when the purchaser makes a buy, the affiliate arranges the item to the provider, who sends it specifically to the purchaser. Everybody gets what they need: the purchaser gets his new things, and the providers and merchants get their cash.

What makes dropshipping so incredible is the flexibility it offers private ventures. You needn't bother with a store loaded with items that you can not move. You don't have to confine your clients to your region. Dropshipping opens up a radical new client world! Things being what they are, how would you begin? Here are some basic principles:

Stage 1: The market

When you begin a dropshipping business, you should have a specialty. Superstores like Wal-Shop, Target and Amazon are covering the market by offering everything, so you should locate a particular item that fits your objective market. A Superior Lemonade Stand recommends searching for little however enthusiastic groups - yogis, explorers, knitters, and so on - and utilize them as a beginning stage for your objective market. Play with catchphrase devices until the point that you find mainstream watchwords and items that interest to these gatherings. When you have them at the top of the priority list, you can distinguish items on request and occasional items.

Stage 2: The item

Suppose you've discovered incredible new garments, adornments and carpets that will tempt solidified yogis. The subsequent stage you have to do is to discover a provider. With such a large number of dropshipping wholesalers out there, you unquestionably have your decision of discount stores that would not upset a constant flow of requests. In any case, you should do your examination and ask the correct inquiries. To what extent will it take to take care of requests? What is your quality control framework? Would you be able to utilize your item photographs on your dropshipping site? Discover a seller prepared to work with you on your terms, and you'll be up and running right away.

Stage 3: The stage

Regardless of whether you are making your own site or utilizing a current application, your stage is a standout amongst the most essential parts of your dropshipping business. You have to locate an online space that draws in clients and presents your items unmistakably. Obviously, the perfect stage is always showing signs of change as new applications are presented. For instance, ebay has for quite some time been the overwhelming dropshipping stage, yet lately there has been a whirlwind of stores highlighting items on Instagram, ostensibly the most mainstream photograph application on the planet. Remain over web based shopping patterns and you'll be light years away.

Stage 4: Accounts

It's a little advance, yet vital. As Salehoo reminds us, you require a duty ID number and a VAT number to work together in the Assembled States and Canada. The application procedure is straightforward and economical - so bear in mind it!

Stage 5: Promoting

Now, just advertising stays for your clients. Ensure you have appealing photographs of your supplier's items. Post these photographs routinely on your stage and in other promoting devices, (for example, online networking). Connect with your clients by making inquiries on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Also, in particular, when you make a buy, you promptly satisfy the request. Before long you will have an effective dropshipping business.

A Beginner's Guide to Dropshipping

 A Beginner's Guide to Dropshipping

This guide will answer all those questions and more, including:

What is dropshipping?
What are the benefits of dropshipping?
How do I find a dropshipper?
How do I choose the best dropshipper for my business?
How do I integrate dropshippers with my Volusion store?
To learn more, read on!

What is dropshipping? Simply put, dropshipping is the process of shipping goods directly to your customers from a third-party supplier or “vendor”, without an intermediary step (like storing the goods at your physical business location).

Here’s an example of a normal business model without a dropshipper :
1. Your business routinely orders product from a supplier to maintain inventory on hand.
2. Your business stores the products until a customer orders them.
3. You process each customer’s order, package the goods, and ship them to the customer yourself.
When a dropshipper is involved, the process looks a bit different:
1. A customer orders products from your business.
2. You pass the order info along to your dropshipper.

What are the benefits of dropshipping? Dropshipping eliminates the need to keep inventory on hand, freeing your business from the (time, labor, and monetary) costs of keeping your goods on hand and maintaining your own warehouse property to store them. Even if you only dropship some of your goods, you’ll bes freeing up resources for the items that need particular attention. It even allows you to offer items that would normally be impossible to ship due to your location’s limitations, like extremely large or perishable goods. You can be based anywhere in the world, and your items will still reach customers right on time!

Another benefit is that your dropshipper takes care of the entire physical process of packaging and shipping your products. Because dropshippers are often large businesses dealing with many orders a day, they may even have negotiated shipping rates that are lower than the ones your small or medium business can get; Those savings get passed on to you, and your customers benefit in turn! Dropshipping can also reduce losses from damaged product, since shipments take a more direct route from warehouse to customer.

In addition to eliminating the need for the physical inventory storage, dropshipping can prevent logistical headaches and customer service woes. You don’t have to worry about overstock or shortages on your end, nor is your company as susceptible to the risk of shifting trends that cause certain products to suddenly fall in or out of favor. And if you ever need to expand your selection to new items, many dropshippers have a wide variety of goods to offer, from extremely niche items to popular or classic sellers. Between the ability to expand and the flexibility to choose your company location, dropshipping naturally promotes scalability!

How do I find a dropshipper? So you’re sold on the idea of dropshipping, but you have no idea where to begin. Thankfully, the internet can be enormously helpful in your search - but it’s not quite as easy as typing “dropshipping” into a search engine. Most dropshippers do the majority of their business with small and medium companies like yours, and they may not appear at the top of search results if their SEO isn’t very strong. To get the best results,be sure that you expand your search to include various dropshipping vocabulary:“dropshipping”, “wholesale”, “distributor”, “bulk”, “reseller”, “warehouse”, and “supplier” are all good ways to start. You can also combine those terms with the particular goods or types of goods you wish to sell. (It can be very useful to know your “niche” before searching, since different dropshippers specialize in different industries.)
You can also find dropshipping “aggregators” online, either in the form of comparison lists and blog articles, or actual companies whose purpose is to help you find the perfect dropshipper for your business. These can be free or paid resources, but just as with the dropshipper itself, do your homework to ensure the aggregator is honest, reliable, and reputable in the field. In the past, many Volusion merchants have worked with dropshippers that have built-in “aggregation” tools, such as Doba and Kole Imports.

Of course, you don’t have to limit your search to the internet; another option is to contact the manufacturer of your desired goods directly! Most manufacturers can provide you with a list of dropshippers that carry their products, and are perfectly willing to give you their opinion. And who knows, you may get an even better deal from the manufacturer themselves!

How do I choose the best one for my business? You’ve narrowed down a small list of dropshippers to choose from - but how to choose? First, have a solid idea of what you want your business to look like in your head, including the purchase order process with dropshippers. This will help you better analyze different factors, such as:

What goods do they provide, and at what cost? Are there additional fees? Payment options? If they don’t match your desired inventory or overhead, the decision will be quick.
How long have they been in business? A veteran dropshipper is usually preferable, one with a record of trustworthy and safe shipments (and happy customers) going back a decade or more.
Who do they ship with? If they use a particular shipping provider, is it well known? Capable? Can they ship anywhere in your region? Do they have limitations on goods they can ship that exclude you?

Who else do they ship for? Are you using the same service as your competitors? (Not necessarily a bad thing, if you believe you can out-compete them elsewhere.) Would you be their largest client? Smallest? Somewhere in the middle is preferable, so the dropshipper isn’t stretching out of their comfort zone to meet your needs.
What customization do they offer for shipping? Can you put your branding on the box your customer will see? Can you add coupon codes, or contact info? Do they send order notification emails? What is their return policy?

All of these questions are useful, but when doing research keep in mind you don’t need to stick to asking the dropshipper - ask their customers! See if you can find reviews on the internet, in forums, on their social media pages, or ask them for references directly. Take it all with a grain of salt, and decide for yourself if their most glowing or devastating feedback is the real deal, or if they lie somewhere in between, and how closely that matches what you are looking for.

How do I integrate them with my Volusion store? Compared to the process of investigating and searching out your “perfect supplier”, setting them up to work with your store should be easy as pie. For Volusion stores there are two ways to set up dropshipping - standard dropshipping, where you generate Purchase Orders yourself when you need an order shipped to a certain address, and Auto Dropshipping, where your dropshipper is sent a purchase order automatically for each order that comes through your store.

Both methods involve creating Vendors (a representation of the dropshipper in your store, including their email info) and vendor rules (a record on each product defining things like the minimum quantity, price, and vendor’s name for the product for the purchase order).

The articles linked above go into the specifics, but essentially once you have these two sections set up you are ready to go - you can create your own POs for your dropshipper in Inventory > Purchase Orders, and if your products are set up to auto-dropship, you can sit back and let your store process them on its own with each order! You can even process received items (if, for example, you needed to restock your own store using the same system). Keep in mind that the lower prices you set in these sections for the dropshipper products are for your own record keeping - payment of your supplier is handled outside the Volusion system.

So concludes the Beginner’s Guide to Dropshipping. There is certainly much to gain from the streamlining and versatility of using a dropshipper, so long as you follow the tips above and ensure the one you choose is right for your business needs. With a bit of homework, negotiation, and set up, you can have your store working for you in no time!

5 REASONS FOR NOT USE eBAY DROPSHIPPING

5 REASONS FOR NOT USE eBAY DROPSHIPPING

by John freech

#1 - Drop Shipping Does Not Work on eBay
#2 - Profit Margin is Below $0
#3 - Direct from the Source Competition
#4 - PayPal Will Hold Your Funds
#5 - Out of Stock Equals Bad Feedback

Actually  I see some people asking me why drop shipping is not good for eBay and every day I give them the same list of five reasons.  So, I thought I would post it as an article so everyone can learn.  Here are the 5 reasons eBay sellers should avoid drop shipping (in reverse order).

#5 - Out of Stock Equals Bad Feedback

Drop shippers often run out-of-stock on popular items.  This means that after you sell the item on eBay and then go to your supplier to have the item drop shipped you learn that the item is not in stock.  You then have to tell your buyer the bad news and will usually get some bad feedback in return.  The eBay forums are filled with sellers who have been destroyed by the bad feedback they received by trying drop shipping.  They are also filled with complaints from buyers who did not receive the item they ordered because the seller was using a drop shipper -- and after the sale informed the buyer that the item was not available.

#4 - PayPal Will Hold Your Funds

About a year ago, in January of 2008, eBay and PayPal issued some new policies.  One of which is to put a HOLD on funds.  Here is the quote from eBay's policy:

"In a small percentage of cases where it has been determined the risk of dissatisfied buyers is higher, PayPal may delay release of the payment funds to the seller until the buyer has left a positive feedback or 21 days have passed without a dispute, claim, chargeback or reversal filed on that transaction."

Any new eBay seller who tries using drop shipping as a method for sourcing their products will find that they cannot access their funds until after the product has arrived at their customer's door.  This eliminates one of the most appealing aspects of drop shipping - the ability to sell a product and THEN use the buyer's payment to fund the purchase.  With PayPal holding your money for 21 days this will not be possible.

#3 - Direct from the Source Competition

This is a relatively new phenomenon that has come about by the recent explosion of "direct from China" drop shippers.  Simply put, this means that many of these drop shipping companies are actually selling the items on eBay directly themselves.  They are "double dipping".  While they provide a website that will drop ship products to your eBay customers direct from China, they are also selling the same products on eBay themselves.  To witness this one only needs to look in the electronics category on eBay.  Many of the listings have the item location show Hong Kong or some other location in China.  Yes, the drop shippers themselves are competing with their customers.

#2 - Profit Margin is Below $0

That is not an error.  The profit margin you will face when using drop shipping to sell on eBay is most often zero.  Nothing.  Nada.  In fact, most people who first try using a drop shipper to supply their eBay products end up getting frustrated and crying "the price my drop shipper is selling the product for is MORE than the price the product is selling for on eBay."  And they are correct.  You see wholesale is all about buying in quantity.  When you use drop shipping you are buying just one of an item and cannot expect a wholesale price.

Now why paying a bit more for an item may not be a big deal if you're selling it for top dollar at your local store, it is a HUGE deal when trying to sell on eBay.  eBay is a place people go to get a deal.  They do not want to pay full retail price, and chances are they can find the item at a rock bottom price if they just look around eBay for a bit.  Because even if you cannot sell an item for the lowest possible price (because you are using drop shipping), there are thousands of other eBay sellers who can.  So it is true.  The price you get from your drop ship supplier will often be more than the product sells for on eBay.

#1 - Drop Shipping Does Not Work on eBay

Considering the other four reasons not to use drop shipping when selling on eBay this might seem obvious.  And it should be!  The bottom line is that drop shipping and eBay are a toxic combination.  While eBay is the place to sell products to people who want a deal, drop shipping is the way to buy products at the highest possible "wholesale" price.  And, while your drop shipper may offer thousands of products -- they probably have thousands of clients like yourself who are also listing the items on eBay.  It simply doesn't work.

OK...  Before you get all mad, let me add that drop shipping can (CAN, not DOES) work on eBay if you have spent a long time establishing a rapport with a wholesaler who is then willing to give you a true wholesale price on items that they agree to drop ship.  This however will take time and also you will need to make some larger purchases from that wholesaler first to show that you can sell in the volume required to make it worth the wholesaler's while to drop ship for you.

Well, I hope I have convinced you to stay away from drop shipping when it comes to selling on eBay.  For more information on why drop shipping on eBay is a bad business decision you can visit www.DropShippingSucks.com (yes, Drop Shipping Sucks) and read the page.

That's all for now and remember the age-old wisdom.  If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.  This is definitely the case when it comes to eBay and drop shipping.

Choosing the dropshipping

Choosing the proper dropshipping niche or market is the most important step that a new seller faces when deciding to venture into the world of dropshipping products. A good deal of research will likely be required in order to find a niche that is capable of generating profits for your business or website.

So, a little bit of background on what exactly drop shipping is. If you're already familiar with how the drop shipping process works, feel free to skip over the next couple of paragraphs. Dropshipping is a superb business for anyone who does not want to deal with the day-to-day hassle of carrying, storing, packaging and shipping inventory.

Basically, dropshipping is when the seller accepts the money from the buyer, but does not have the burden of shipping the product. The product is packaged and shipped directly from the manufacturer. To better understand dropshipping, it is easier to think of the retailer as the middleman between the customer and manufacturer. The way that the retailer makes money is from the difference between the wholesale price that he is paying the manufacturer (or drop shipper) and what he actually sold the item for (retail price).

The point of dropshipping is to make money without doing all of the leg work. Dropshipping benefits small businesses, and website owners. There are sometimes slight delays when it comes to delivering the product to your customers - basically, the time required for you to verify and accept the order, and transfer the buyer's information to the drop shipper.

Finding the Right Niche
Have a look around…

If you're starting a brand new website, and are looking for a niche or an industry that has drop shipping available, one of the best ways to explore is by signing up with a drop shipping directory like Doba (who just so happens to offer a free 14-day trial) or WorldWide Brands. With Doba, for example, you'll have 14 days to explore their list of drop shippers and find one that provides products that you could easily write about, market, and sell.

Start small…

When starting a new business, it is best to think small - start with small, short-term goals. For example, if you decide you want to work in the jewelry industry, don't set your sights on being the top jewelry merchant online from the get-go (good luck with that, btw). Instead, focus your efforts on a smaller niche inside the jewelry industry. Choosing to sell watches or rings (or even more specifically than that - a single brand of watches or type of rings) would be the wisest move. Become an authority on a smaller niche, and use the profits to expand into other watch brands, or other types of rings. As with all businesses, you should be passionate about the market that you choose, this is why it is extremely important to research the product and pick a niche that is familiar and satisfying to you - you're going to be spending a good deal of effort over the coming days, weeks and months in this industry - make sure it is something you've got an interest or a passion in!

As mentioned, research is the best and most important step of starting a drop-ship business. Taking advantage of a 14-day free trial at Doba will help sellers find many different niches that they can successfully sell online. And once you've chosen a niche, Doba offers users comprehensive training (not that you'll need it if you're visiting DropShipStrategy.com) in how to truly succeed in your new dropshipping business.

Start an e-commerce site: market place or dropshipping?

Want to start trading online? If you do not want to manage stock, two options are available to you: the market place or the drop-shipping. Close formulas each presenting its advantages ... and its disadvantages.

The Internet has revolutionized shopping. Customers can now purchase whatever they'd like with a simple click of a button or tap of the finger. Most purchases now come from online retailers rather than brick-and-mortar stores. While buyers are happier than ever, traditional retailers are suffering - they've lost 25% of operating earnings as a percent of sales due to meteoric online growth.

E-commerce giants like Amazon may be threatening every business under the sun, but retailers are quickly adapting. Many have already embraced online shopping and tailored their companies to suit an emerging market, but the savviest retailers are combining drop shipping with third-party logistics (also known as '3PL'). In simpler terms, the retailer gets a third-party company to manufacture and ship the goods to the customer.

Embracing Drop Shopping
Say that a customer buys an item from a retailer. The store pays a third-party manufacturer to create and ship the item directly to the customer's house. The retailer and manufacturer both receive money and the customer gets fast delivery for a reasonable price.

The main advantage of this model is that retailers will no longer need to keep inventory in a costly warehouse which requires transportation and storage fees. As a result, businesses can efficiently and quickly scale by adding new suppliers & product, all which help win new customer business. Drop shipping also allows traditional companies that have been leaning on their brick-and-mortar sales to truly leverage e-commerce without sinking years on build-out and merchandising.

Smarter Selling
Retailers can source 3PLs and drop shippers close to the customer's location, which saves money on delivery time and fees. Shoppers demand rapid fulfillment and often won't have the patience for delays or long wait periods. Happy customers lead to high retention and sales, both of which are great for business.

One company that is revolutionizing e-commerce is Zebit - a unique online marketplace with zero physical goods. The company realized that scaling their business required establishing flexible communication protocols with vendors. Zebit soon partnered with Logicbroker whose adaptable, cloud-based platform and extensive network helped onboard new suppliers, expand their product collection, and scale their business efficiently. Logicbroker's automated processes and software integration streamlined vendor relations, allowing engineers to focus more on their work.

"Over the past year, we have experienced tremendous growth," said Colby Ross, Zebit's Director of Product Management. "We have grown our business 10x, much due to our partnership with Logicbroker and the drop ship vendors they work with."

Evolution is Critical to Survivability
Businesses must evolve to meet evolving technology and demands lest they want to go the way of Borders and Blockbuster. Embracing new methods will help companies cut costs, increase efficiency, and remain relevant while those sticking to legacy processes will unfortunately be unable to keep pace.

"Too many traditional retailers are clinging to eCommerce fulfillment processes that worked a decade ago," said George Heudorfer, VP Digital Commerce at Logicbroker. "Forward-thinking retailers are eliminating the headaches of internal order fulfillment by combining drop ship vendors with a third-party logistics network."

In today's sharing economy, third-party reliance is critical, especially for car rides, customer service, lodging, and even pet-sitting. It's time that stores did the same.

For an informative journey on the retail matters at hand, eTail West is February 26-March 01, 2018 in Palm Springs, CA this year. The conference will cover omni-channel commerce strategies, how to succeed in digital, and how to harness emerging tech, and more.

Dropshipping Software

Conclusion

Introduction

Actually  competitive world, you must be at the top of competition to maximize your business and make a profit. With the current competitive scenario, you should be perfect with everything to compete with the big names in the industry, such as Amazon and eBay. Obviously, competing with such names is not a walk in the park, but it is very important to thrive in a market dominated by big names. So, if you can not go against competition, would it be nice to go with them and make them work for you?

There is a way to continue doing your business by making these big names the closest suppliers. You can advertise products on these sites as your own, and when you receive orders, you can leave these items to your customers. You can "offer" them these items, and you can maintain a reasonable profit between them. It was an innovative new way to make money, and people used drop shipping to bring home better profits than other affordable companies. However, there is a small hiccup that you might want to consider before jumping from a gun to dropshipping.

Dropshipping Software

When you are targeting a business model based on direct delivery, you have a wide range of offers for the products you sell. There are differences in prices for the same products between many websites, and it can be very difficult to find listings that offer you the best price for your products. You can use human labour to study the best lists, but it may not be as profitable and, perhaps, will not be able to give the best results. However, there is another way to achieve this. And this is called Dropshipping.

Dropshipping software basically takes care of all your problems and problems associated with this business. What this software is to compare is all the offers that are available for the products that you are looking for, and then gives you the best choice. For a small fee, you virtually eliminate all your problems and overhead costs when searching for products on the Internet. Moreover, it provides periodic updates for price changes in the products you specify, so you can adjust your sales price accordingly. This eliminates the risk of loss and helps you to maximize profits.

Dropshipping software varies depending on the needs of the companies, so you can look at the various offers on the market, and then choose the best one for you. The best way to do this is to contact customers, and then learn about the pros and cons of various software so that you can find the best that suits your needs. Regardless of your requirements, using Dropship  software can be the magic trick that you need to bring your business to the stars

8 Most Common Drop Shipping Problems Solved

Problem 1: The product is missing.

Problem 2: Delay with order processing

Problem 3: A bad item sent to the client

Task 4: Incorrect number of sending

Issue 5: You have been exposed incorrectly

Issue 6: The shipment sent to the wrong address/orders is confusing

Issue 7: Object received damaged

Issue 8: Invalid tracking code

Conclusion

Problem 1: The product is missing.

Probably the most common of all problems that you will encounter.

Although most manufacturers and customers want to inform their e-commerce partners about product availability, it often happens that a product ordered by someone from your store is not in stock. shares. Or he was completely abandoned.

The best way to manage: call your customer. Never email them. Customers prefer personal contact, even if it means bad news about their order. In addition, if possible, try to find the product from another supplier. In addition, see if you can get a similar product from another manufacturer. Suggest any alternatives that the client might have. Very often they will gladly change their order for another product.

Problem 2: Delay with order processing

Imagine this. You received the order through your store. Immediately you are in a hurry to post it from the manufacturer and wait for it to be processed so that you can tell the client what he sent and send him the tracking code. However, the order confirmation is not received.

The best way to manage: the usual time for processing an order is a maximum of 24 hours. If you do not hear anything from the manufacturer or shipper after delivery, contact them immediately. Today, customers are used to process their orders within 24 hours. For your own brand, it's imperative that even if the order has not been processed during this time, you at least know the reason and when it will happen.

Why? Because the customer could call you. Usually this happens if you sell expensive products and someone you bought in your store for the first time. Their level of trust in you is low, and thanks to their team they finally put you to the test.

Problem 3: A bad item sent to the client

I have to say that it has not reached me yet, however, I know this is the worst nightmare of many e-commerce shop owners, so I put this problem on the list.

Delivery is a bad product for the customer. Poor customer service, done. He always leaves a bad impression regardless of the client's business reputation. And regardless of the circumstances, you are always the culprit.

This is one of the most unfortunate aspects of shipping. Regardless of the error, and who did it, you always and your reputation suffer.

The best way to manage: first, find out your producer or leave the shipment return policy. In fact, you must know them before sending your first product. Thus, when a customer complaint comes, you can immediately tell them what to do.

In addition, it is a good idea to offer a discount to a customer for a future purchase or at least a small token to apologize for your mistake.

Task 4: Incorrect number of sending

As for the problem above, the product supplied may have been right, but the amount was wrong. This has happened to me many times. This is not a problem if multiple items are sent, but the problem starts when it is less than the one ordered by the customer.

The best way to handle: Sometimes you can really stop this error. Always check the bill of the transport company. Usually, they send them before the goods leave the warehouse, and if you notice an incorrect number, call them immediately and stop sending the order.

If, however, the order has already been sent, proceed in the same manner as in the previous issue discussed above.

Issue 5: You have been exposed incorrectly

The problem does not affect the client but remains fairly common.

The best way to manage: always check the account carefully. This becomes especially important if you pay directly by credit card and do not have a credit line from the manufacturer. Of course, you will probably get a loan from the manufacturer, but your expenses will be limited during this month.

Issue 6: The shipment sent to the wrong address/orders is confusing

Different manufacturers have different ways to process orders. Some people want you to send them by e-mail, others prefer to order by phone. And because email greatly reduces the chance of spelling errors, it's easy enough to switch to the phone.

As a result, orders can be sent to an address that does not exist. Or a completely different person (if the orders were involved, for example).

The best way to handle: it is necessary that you make some confirmation of the delivery address provided by the manufacturer or sending the sender. Reassessment of the items costs money, and you must be sure of the fault before it accepts all the costs.

Issue 7: Object received damaged

Fortunately, this has never happened to me, although I know some owners of ship-owners that it was.

The best way to cope: this problem is actually quite easy to solve. In most cases, the manufacturer sends a replacement part or the entire article. However, it is good that you know the terms of the manufacturer's warranty. I am lucky that we are working with producers who offer a guarantee for a replacement for life, but for you, there may be another. So, better check.

Issue 8: Invalid tracking code

A little problem, but still something that needs to be understood. Sometimes the tracking code you receive is either invalid or for a completely different package.

When you think about it, your manufacturer or the packing vessel, you use dozens of tens, not hundreds of tracking codes a day. With such a volume is simple enough for a simple human error.

The best way to manage: Always check the tracking codes before sending them to your customer. Simply

Starting a shipping business with a delivery ship may seem like an easy thing to do. Unfortunately, in this business model, you depend heavily on the manufacturer whose products you use or the transport company they use to send their goods. And as always, when you leave control of such an important aspect of the business to someone else, mistakes can occur.

Conclusion

Finally each problems have a solution so must build in planification
